Title: Data/Systems Lead Business Analyst

Duration: 12 month Contract

Start:

Rate: $60/hr + benefits

Number of Positions:1

This is a replacement for a contractor who has recently left.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
1. Do you have any experience in SQL. Do you understand Big Data technologies and has understanding of Web services, Micro Services.
2. Do you have experience with SDLC, Application testing, UML, Agile methodologies.
3. Do you have experience with functional vs system requirements?
4. How much experience do you have writing Business Requirement Documents and documented technical specifications.
5. Do you have any healthcare domain experience?

Scope of project for role: Building a data ingestion pipeline involving big data technologies, web applications, web services, cloud services.
Working as liaison between business to gather requirements and development to perform analysis. Working closely with developers and assist with infrastructure set up, demo's, tech specs, etc.

Job Details

The Data/Systems Lead Business Analyst functions as the liaison between the Developer and the client reviewing, analyzing, evaluating and documenting the technical component of data or systems business requirements for data/systems enhancements or new client implementations. Instructs, directs and communicates with the team to ensure deadlines are met. Assists manager with staff development and quality assurance standards as needed. Typically, leads projects with moderate to large budgets or of a moderate to long duration. Executes implementations of diverse scope and complexity. Manages projects from concept to implementation.

Top Skills for this position would be:

  • The ability to gather requirements and write them into user stories and test cases using Agile/Scrum methodology. This will be a position that requires heavy data extraction from the business users.
  • Translating and transferring those requirements to the development team and to work with QA teams as well.
  • Basic SQL Query Scripting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • This position is for a true BA and not for a Developer that can do BA work

    • A plus would be working previous Hadoop projects. Experience in Health industry is helpful. Experience with any other data tools is helpful

    Minimum Related Work Experience:

    • 6+ years related work experience with SQL, Big Data, Web Services, Micro Services
    • Expert SQL knowledge
    • Expert relational database systems as it relates to data/systems enhancements
    • Experience with various IT platforms and languages such as Informatica Power center, Java, DB2
