Mechanical Design Engineer, Milton Keynes, Contract.
About your new company:
My client is award winning company in the electric automotive industry. Their company has had significant growth in over recent years, more than doubling in size so they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their constantly evolving and innovating team. My client can offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of positive engineers who embrace the challenge of designing amazing products at the leading edge of hybrid and electric motor system technology.
About your new role:
Some of your new responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing detailed design models and drawings
  • Develop and perform relevant simulation tasks, hand calculations, basic FEA simulations
  • Develop and perform validation as necessary
  • Developing concept scheme
  • Communicate with customers (internal and external) at all levels in the relationship to prepare specifications, review designs and project status etc.
  • Manage multiple complex projects concurrently
  • Ensure your designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements
  • Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time
What you will need:
Some of the skills you will need are:
  • General understanding of analysis such as FEA, CFD and simulation techniques
  • Proven and skilled use of CATIA software/3DExperience packages
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of general engineering principles
  • Project management
