Description
A Government Department in Canberra requires the services of a Network Solution Design Engineer.
Selection Criteria:
- 5-8 years' minimum experience designing and implementing Juniper (Switching and Routing) platforms and supporting infrastructure.
- 5+ years minimum experience designing and implementing Cisco (Switching and Routing) platforms and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience in the design and implementation of WAN optimization and Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) platforms and technologies.
- Experience in the design and implementation of Network Load balancing (F5 preferred) platforms and technologies.
- Experience in the design and implementation of Network virtualization (Nutanix and VMware NSX) platforms and technologies.
- High level of understanding in the design, development and implementation of secure, robust, comprehensive WAN and LAN infrastructure architectures utilizing enterprise switching, routing, WAN optimization and network load balancing platforms and hardware systems or enterprise equivalent.
- Must have an excellent understanding and experience in the high level and detailed design & development of highly available distributed solutions in highly secured environments.
- Knowledge and understanding across a broad range of current and next generation enterprise level network communication hardware and software platforms including but not limited to Dell & HP hardware, VMware and Acropolis Hypervisors and all Microsoft products.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with Enterprise Cryptography Technologies.
- Strong coordination and organisational skills.
- Very high-level communications skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment.
The role requires the candidate to be an Australian Citizen with NV1 clearance (Mandatory) prior to commencement.
