Description
A global client is currently looking for an Application Developer to join them at their site in Belgium on a contract basis for 12 months initially.
Main Responsibilities:
- To support the deployment of applications being developed within the team:
- Take charge of testing of the applications
- Perform the data management tasks of the related SQL Server databases (data upload, extract, control, etc.)
- Collect input quality data
- Do the user management
- Coordinate the deployment of the application
- Support the users (documentation, training, change management) in close contact with them to guarantee good adoption of the application
- Roll-out and maintain the issue management system
- Diagnose the reported issues (confirm and describe them)
- Analyse the requested features improvements and new functionalities in coordination with the development coordinator and the lead developer
- Bug fix or implement new features in the application under the supervision of the lead developer;
- Ensure user satisfaction
- Assist the team in their data management activities in general
- Assist the Group Manager in developing the Data Management group activities
Minimum Requirements:
- With at least 1 year SQL Server data management expertise (querying, data update, Scripting)
- With experience in data management practices and demonstrate a passion for data
- Experience in ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) techniques,
- Experience in automating data reconciliation and treatment
- With at least 2 years software development expertise (full life cycle: requirements collection, development, testing, debugging, acceptance, deployment, documentation, training, change management, user support, issue management, configuration management)
- With broad knowledge of state of the art development languages, tools and environments. Knowledge in the following technologies : ASP.NET, MVC framework, jQuery, AJAX, ISS is a key asset
- Degree: technical-oriented bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience
- Experience with industrial installations is an asset
- Autonomous with strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Quality and result oriented, hands-on and self-motivated
- Proud to take initiatives and to acquire new knowledge and improve working methods
- With strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in French OR Dutch
