Supplier Development Engineer
Location: Campinas, Brazil
Rate $20 per hour
Duration: 6 months + Possible Extension
Start: ASAP
Summary of Role:
*Candidate will look after the Supplier development activities such as Identification, Screening, Pre-assessment, Onsite assessment and Qualification according to client's Quality and Technical requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
*Assessing the suppliers on General, Technical Capabilities, Capacity, etc for Manufacturing and Industrial business vertical
*Strong supplier base knowledge for various Engineering commodities across the globe
*Ability to interpret Drawings & Specifications to conduct Technical Feasibility & technical contract reviews with Suppliers
*Score, Compute and Rate suppliers according to the corroboration collected during the assessment
*Collect appropriate supporting documents required to attest the assessment scoring
*Raising NCR during assessment, if any tracking and monitoring for timely closure
*Prepare and submit the assessment report after every assessment with due recommendations to assist Qualification and Selection process
*Evaluate and provide recommendation for New products development based on Supplier capability mapping to product/part requirements
Skills:
*10+ Years of experience in Supplier Quality & Assessment, Sourcing and Procurement, Consulting, technology and Managing service operations
*Prior experience on Supplier assessment, Audit, Qualification and Selection is mandatory.
*Proficiency on GD&T, Manufacturing Processes and various other Quality Management Tools & Techniques (eg SPC, FMEA, etc.)
*Understand Quality Management Systems (QMS) and appropriate requirements for Supplier qualification.
Educational and Other Requirements:
*Engineer (BE/BTech/BS) with strong Industrial Technical expertise.
*ASNT Level II, Level III certifications are preferred.
