For a big international bank in Amsterdam we are looking for a Product Owner who will contribute to their journey of becoming THE digital bank of the future!
Context
In the development towards a Next Generation Digital Banking Platform, this client is renewing its data management capabilities worldwide. This team currently realizes an integrated data management platform for the Dutch and Belgium part of the organization: the "data lake". This is an ambitious implementation based on leading technologies in which this client is at the forefront. As an enthusiastic Product Owner you will ensure that the data lake optimally meets the requirements of the business.
This is what you will do
- Prioritize the backlog by preparing roadmaps, coordinating in the "market place" with senior management and fellow product owners and by consulting suppliers of data owners, data stewards and use data users
- Determine with data stewards the nature and scope of the delivery of new type of data in the data lake
- Take initiatives to improve the working method and cooperation in your team(s). You regularly consult with the Agile coach and the Team Leads and where necessary with fellow product owners and the IT Area Lead
- Guarantee the operational functioning of the product(s) managed by the team by establishing and prioritizing the requirements and by organizing the management tasks in consultation with the team
- You coach others in the field of data management and you stimulate the organization to become "data minded" You facilitate workshops with data stewards, data users, analysts and engineers
- You draw up conceptual, logical and dimensional data models and you are a sparring partner for IT specialists for the translation of these models into physical data models.
Your Backpack
- Experience as a product owner or as a scrum master
- Knowledge of and experience with data management, data modelling (dimensional) and data warehouse technology
- Knowledge of and experience in the financial sector
- Conceptually and analytically strong.
- Enthusiastic personality, who brings pleasure and connection and has an affinity with Agile working in multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel abroad (about 1 x per week): Brussels and/or Bucharest.
