Worldpay's New Acquiring Platform is pioneering a payment revolution, equipping us for the spending habits of tomorrow, as well as today. On completion, we'll be able to deliver unrivalled insights into every trade and transaction. We will be processing in sixteen primary global currencies with a range of FX, processing and billing services.
Key accountabilities:
Take full ownership of allocated accounting processes:

Ensure the processes are robust and scalable to support the full book of customers, FX is handled correctly, and that balance sheet reconciliations are clean with actions in place to address any aged or queried items.

Own the reports supporting the processes, validating the data and calculations and working closely with the Reports Lead to address any systems issues identified. Identify opportunities to benefit from the new reports and data as they become available.

Ensure the end-to-end processes have strong controls and audit trails to support SOX-compliance. Identify and address any deficiencies identified through month end or testing.

Develop clear Standard Operating Procedures and training guides as required for the new processes, ensuring the purpose of the process, key controls and operational steps are clear.

Train the permanent accounting team members on operation of the new processes.
Essential Experience:

Fully Qualified Accountant with post qualified and contract experience.
- Experience of working in a large complex multi currency organization.

Demonstrated ability to analyse data, pinpoint issues and work around limitations.

Experience of month end ledger processes and strong understanding of financial controls.

Experience demonstrating the ability to understand and deliver change to complex systems and processes.
Skills and Abilities:

Technically strong accountant with solid double-entry skills. Able to quickly gain understanding of a wide range of systems and processes plus their financial and control implications.

Excellent communicator who can clearly explain complex ideas in simple language suitable for a wide range of colleagues including Senior Stakeholders and non-accountants.

Able to think of new solutions to problems and logically question the status quo.
