Description

My client is currently recruiting for a Network Security & Palo Alto Firewall engineer on a 6 month rolling contract based in Prague.

Essential skills
Network fundamentals including the OSI model, TCP/IP, IPv4/6
Linux fundamentals including iptables
Configuration and management of network equipment, including Switching-, Routing- and Tunneling solutions
Implementation of ether-/port-channeling, routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
Understanding of zero trust concept network
Understanding of complex network designs especially Cisco environments including LAN, WAN and DC solutions
Redundant and scalable networks providing Backup- and DR solutions
Networking & Security including configuration and troubleshooting of solutions
Traffic packet & protocol analyzer (Wireshark, nmap, etc.), reading data-frames and network packets
Firewall management and engineering, including rulesets for big and complex infrastructures
Implementation of network zone segregation like complex VLAN environments
Understanding the concept of Virtual Networking
Next Generation Firewall solutions (application awareness), IDS/IPS technologies

Desirable Skills:
Palo Alto Firewall solutions
Tufin
Traffic load balancers, WAFs and DB FWs
SIEM principals and tools (Qradar/Splunk)
Bash Scripting and well-known programming languages for networking automation (eg Power Shell, Python)
Concept of IoT, OT, ICS
