Network Consulting Engineers - SD-A and DNAC

Flint are seeking Network Consulting Engineers (NCE) to work on Customer premises to demonstrate and develop the value of the Cisco SD-A and DNAC solutions.

This role is an interactive customer facing role demonstrating the value of the solution to the customer on their premises, and conducting hands-on testing & validation.

As a Flint SD-A/DNAC NCE you will deliver innovative & engaging customer presentations, execute test plans that meet customer goals. You will be able to work with third party hardware/software in the development & validation of our most complex Customer solutions.

Success in this role involves maintaining current awareness of competitive offerings and being able to effectively articulate differentiating features and benefits

Flint are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience

Required

  • BS or equivalent plus 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrable consulting skills and customer facing experience
  • Knowledge of next-generation enterprise network concepts and automation and can deliver these capabilities: DNA Centre, SDA, SD-WAN/Viptela, Service Orchestration, SDN and more importantly, secure networks that can sense and enforce security threats
  • Strong understanding of Campus networking (L2/L3), Software Defined Networking, Data Centre virtualization, Orchestration and NFV for enterprise application orchestration is highly desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of baseline system engineering skills and in-depth knowledge in WAN, MPLS, WLAN and IPv6
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Servers, clusters, Linux administration and experience with storage systems.
  • Current Cisco certifications are required and you'll either have or be close to obtaining your CCIE. BSc or MSc degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline & deep knowledge is required in the areas of design, configuration, problem-resolution, management & performance testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member
  • Willing to travel
  • Fluent in English spoken and written and have German language skills level B1 or above

Other

  • Work independently, with minimal guidance and direction from manager and you will determine best approach to accomplish work
  • Growing knowledge of Automation, virtualisation, & Scripting in the latest languages.
  • Be able to act as the resident expert on Cisco software features and functionality
  • Knowledge of Cisco security portfolio is also desirable and Scripting (eg Python, Perl, Java)
