For Belgium's most locally based bank and insurance company, based in Brussels, I am looking for a Linux System Engineer.
Main responsibilities:
- System administration of mainly Linux Redhat platform
- Installation, automation, tuning and maintenance of the Linux Infrastructure.
- Monitoring of the Linux infrastructure using Nagios, BMC BEM/Patrol and IBM-tools (ITM/Netcool),
- Assist in maintaining and improving and innovation of the Linux platform
- Follow-up of incidents, problems, changes related to this platform
- First and second level support
- Scrupulous follow
Requirements
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, BA, IT or related field
- Certified Linux or equivalent
- Min 5 years in the Linux domain
- Having experience in development and Scripting (Perl, Python, Bash, DevOps tools, etc)
- Having knowledge of Webservices XML, RPC, REST, is an add on.
- You are a strong communicator. You talk and write fluently English and French or Dutch.
- You are familiar with ITIL and IT Service management (roles and processes)
