The Company:
A London based FS firm are looking for a Equities specialist to join their Surveillance team on a 6 month contract basis paying £300-£400 per day
Responsibilities for the job:
- Surveillance and live monitoring of equities market to identify significant share price movements of listed companies and any potential disclosure obligations that exist under Market Abuse Regulations in response to leaks of inside and price sensitive information
- Monitor internal staff and external broker/client communications focusing on potential market abuse and irregularities whilst ensuring trader compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies.
- Report directly to senior management on company-wide risk and compliance performance including desk reviews.
- Undertaking the first look at e-comms & trade surveillance alerts and escalating as appropriate.
- Completion of STOR's when necessary
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
You will have strong and in depth equities knowledge and have experience of trade & comms surveillance. You will have worked closely with the Front Office equities traders and will be able to advise the business. You will have strong stakeholder management skills and will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
