Description
This contract is for four days per week and six months to start.
Our award-winning, highly successful digital technology client is looking for a technical author to join its technical publications team, producing technical content for technical audiences such as hardware and software engineers, developers and architects.
What's needed?
- Good experience as a technical author in a technology or engineering environment.
- A technical software and/or hardware background, such as:
- Software background: Experience producing highly technical software documentation for developers, engineers or architects and/or programming experience.
- Hardware background: Familiarity with the fundamentals of computer architecture, microprocessors, basic electronics, System-on-Chip (SoC), Embedded electronics.
- Good knowledge of industry standard tools and technologies.
- Any experience with HTML, XML, XSLT, Perl, Python or similar Scripting language is desirable.
- An understanding of the interaction between software and hardware is useful.
