Electrical Inspector

Nailsea (Bristol)

6 Month initial Contract

£15 (PAYE) £22 (LTD) p/h - day shift

My client is looking for 2 Electrical Inspectors to join their team in Nailsea. The successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar role and be qualified to a IPC certificate level or equivalent. (see below for shift times)

Job Specification

Qualifications:

  • IPC 610 certificate
  • IPC 620 certificate

Experience:

  • Ability to inspect products for fit, form and function requirements.
  • Ability to suggest improved methodology relating to all mechanical/electrical assemblies.
  • Ability to inspect complex Electrical assemblies against the engineering drawing requirements.

Responsibilities:

To support and improve Quality in Manufacturing through:-

  • Ensuring all aspects of production are carried out in accordance with company procedures relating to HSE and relevant quality Codes of Practice.
  • Maintain, calibrate and commission all tooling and equipment relating to completing a quality product.
  • Train and facilitate contractors, trainees and apprentices when required.
  • Ensure Work Order documentation is correct and completed to date
    before, during and on completion of the build process.
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times and general
    housekeeping is maintained to a high standard.
  • To provide the verification and sign off of process generated documentation related to the manufacture of subsea controls and ancillary equipment, in order to ensure that all the planned and specified requirements have been satisfactorily undertaken.
  • To close work orders on the satisfactory completion of the respective work order.
  • To carry out product and process surveillance, including the liaison with manufacturing personnel to ensure that any problems identified and recorded are dealt with effectively.
  • To raise rejection records related to product build problems.
  • To carry out specialist inspection techniques in accordance with build requirements eg hardness testing, alignment testing etc.
  • To contribute to departmental improvement initiatives.
  • To enhance and raise awareness of inspection and quality standards within the site.

Deliverables:

  • Raise non conformance's on request.
  • Timely verification and release of equipment on request.
  • Daily support for queries and clarifications requested.

To carry out Physical Inspections of products to ensure they are wired and assembled to drawings and standards. Carry out inspection of documentation ensuring it meets customer requirements. Review test results and configuration sheets ensuring product meets specifications as documented. Raise Non-Conformance's and Corrective actions on quality issues.

IPC certified or equivalent. A lapsed qualification would be considered.

Able to read and interpret engineering documents.

Previous inspection experience essential.

Day Shift is:

Mon- Thursday 7.30 to 4.0 pm with Half hour unpaid break (8 hours)

Friday 7.30 to 1PM with 15 minute Paid break. (5.5 Hours)

Week 1 Earlies:

Mon- Thursday 6.30am to 2.15pm

Friday 6.30am to 3.30 pm

Week 2 Lates:

Mon - Web 2.00Pm to 12.00PM Midnight (9.5 Hours)

Thursday 2.00Pm to 11.30PM (9 Hours)
