Innovation Software Engineer (Cloud/Big Data) needed for the world's leading independent provider of geo-intelligence and asset integrity solutions for large constructions, infrastructure and natural resources. We provide the technical data and information required to design, construct and maintain large structures and infrastructure in a safe, reliable and efficient manner. Working around the globe, predominantly in energy and infrastructure markets, we employ approximately 10,000 employees in around 65 countries.
We provide essential infrastructure information for professionals to help build a better understanding of the status of physical assets. With this information we help to optimize design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure. For this purpose we develop, build and operate our own equipment.
THE ROLE
As a Software Engineer in the Software team, you have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenges. Our survey software generates roughly a terabyte of data per day per hardware unit (GPS data, point clouds and video), which is processed and analyzed using modern cloud technologies, advanced patented algorithms and machine learning methods.
Your task is to make our technology better in all respects: faster, more accurate, smarter, more maintainable. You can focus on a number of areas:
. Cloud computing/big data;
. Software Engineering Architecture;
. Data science/machine learning;
. Algorithmics/data structures.
You will be part of a dynamic software engineering team, where quality of the product is leading. Learning from each other's expertise is what we practice daily, be it in the form of whiteboard sessions, tech talks, code reviews, requirement/design meetings with users, etc.
YOU
We believe that expertise is not bound to a specific language or technology. We are looking for candidates with a degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), and software engineering experience.
