Description
Python Developer/Data Engineer is required for an established Financial Services organistation in central London.
This is an initial 6 month contract period with potential to extend.
Previous Financial Services experience (ie Banking or Asset Management) is beneficial BUT NOT essential.
As Python Developer/Data Engineer you will help build/develop the journey for their new generation data pipeline. The position is very much delivery-focused, defining the frameworks/libraries. You will be working as part of team and knowledge-sharing.
Core skills for the role are:
- Python - ETL/ELT, data pipelines, relevant, frameworks
- SQL, NoSQL, RDB's
- Development problems resolution including, tuning, optimisation, fixing
- BI/Data warehouse modelling techniques (Kimball etc)
- IDEALLY: SSIS - some Legacy SSIS remains as business transitions to Python
