Job Title: Android Developer
Location of Work - Dublin, Ireland
Duration: 3 months + Extendable quarter on quarter (depending on requirement)
Skill Set
1. Developing the Android application
2. Knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android
3. Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
4. Offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
5. Open-source Android ecosystem and exposure to a wide variety of Android and 3rd party libraries eg RxJava, Dagger 2, Retrofit etc.
6. RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to Back End services
Years of Experience 8 Years
Detailed job description -
More than 7 years of experience in developing the Android application
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and exposure to a wide variety of Android and 3rd party libraries eg RxJava, Dagger 2, Retrofit etc
Experience of working in an agile environment
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to Back End services
Proficient understanding of Android Studio and code versioning tools (like GIT.)
Experience with automating build processes (continuous integration), Unit testing, source code analysis tools
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Good to Have Skills - Good to have basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript
