MISSION
Within the Optimisation department, the Sales Interface & Pricing team manages the transfer prices of gas & power commodities for all sales segments (B2C and B2B). It is the link between the trading desk and the sales departments. More concretely, based on cost assumptions, statistical and fundamental analysis and the company's strategy and risk appetite, the team translates wholesale market prices into prices to be used by sales for end customers. The Pricing team advises sales teams on pricing related topics, and supports sales users for the use of the pricing software.
In an ever-evolving energy sector, methodologies in place need to be constantly challenged and improved to ensure the competitiveness of the client on the market. The growing share of renewable energy sources requires the team to find innovative solutions to meet end customer needs.
The Optimisation department is a dynamic environment wherein people are encouraged to be curious and innovative in a positive atmosphere.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The consultant takes ownership for:
First line contact for B2B end-users about pricing (software) related questions;
Reinforcing the pricing team, in order to ensure business continuity;
Updating & improving the pricing software user guide;
Documenting business requirements for current pricing engine, in close collaboration with different stakeholders;
Setting-up & executing E2E test cases at application and multi-application level;
Communicating on ongoing pricing projects, to ensure close follow up on the project's progress;
Playing a key role in setting up a clear lessons learned process for any future pricing project;
PROFILE
Junior profile with 2 years of relevant working experience (eg business support analyst); Experience in Business Acceptance Testing;
Team player across the organization; Analytical mind, with an affinity with numbers; Proactive personality;
Good communication skills, making technical concepts easy to understand; Good knowledge of MS Excel;
Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
