Associate Trainer

Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Rate: GBP 400/day (umbrella) - GBP 318/day (PAYE)

Duration: 3 months

The Client: DCAE Cosford (MOD)

Clearance Required: SC clearance is essential

The role:

Deliver training in highly specialist subject matter to Interventions facilitators and potentially to future trainers who may be licensed to deliver training to external customers in national and international markets. They will deliver a range of specialist training in the commercial market in order to have maximum effect on the reduction of reoffending. Carrying out defensible initial, formative, summative and holistic assessment of the suitability of those being trained. Managing the behaviour and welfare of learners including diversity considerations, individual requirements and other issues appropriately and professionally during the to support the inclusion and engagement of all learners.

Required Experience

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering Mechanical Principles and related topics to RAF FT and IDT students on a City & Guilds level 3 Technician course.
  • Proven ability of teaching subjects as advertised at Level 3 or above.
  • Aerodynamics, Maths, Eng Science, Materials.
  • Applicants must possess a degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering.
  • Applicants should also have a recognised teaching certificate at Level 5 (Cert Ed) i.a.w the Burnham Lecturer Management Practices Document.
  • It is desirable that applicants have experience or working in a military environment and a qualification in Business Management.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or higher in Aerospace/Mechanically based Engineering
  • Teaching certificate at level 5 or above
