I have an urgent requirement for a Dev Ops Lead for one of my international clients based in Helsinki, Finland. The ideal candidate will be a Business Analyst with 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experienced and skilled Software Engineer (Dev/Ops) who has worked in Agile/Srume environment.
- Scripting Languages: Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, Node.js
- Infrastructure Automation Puppet
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
- Knowledge of Informatica BDM
- Spark, NiFi
- Cloudera and Linux.
- Hands on experience on Microsoft Cloud.
Objectives and Responsibilities of the Head of DevOps
Leadership/Supervisory Role:
- The Head of the team leads the design, build, and operational management of highly secure and scalable sites/software for the business and works tirelessly to guarantee the reduction or removal of bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the assigned area in the SU organization as a whole.
- As the leader of the Technical Services and Operations team, he/she promotes, documents, and implements systems infrastructure best practices, building tools that allow the organization to develop and deploy impeccable software.
- The Head of DevOps also secures tools that leverage productivity amplifiers such as code generators and schema repositories for scalable deployment.
- The DevOps team creates tools and automated workflow capabilities in order to enable the business's software engineering teams to deploy and promote code across the development department.
- The role of the Technical Services and Operations as expected is a highly collaborative one working hand-in-hand with the Front End and Back End development teams in all technical operations and works to reduce or eliminate any repetitive or manual tasks. This includes also hands-on support to the Front End and Back End development teams
- At least 7 years of working experience in a Technical Services and Operations capacity, working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment. He/she will also have a successful experience leading a team and can demonstrate a superior and practical understanding of accepted DevOps principles.
