Description

My client a leading energy supplier based in Sunbury requires a Solution Data Architect

This solution architect role will focus on the HR Service Enabling Technologies being put in place in support of HR Modernization, including the Workday deployment and the setup of internal HR service centers at the company. Key technologies include Salesforce (for case management), Genesys (for telephony), SharePoint (for the Front End My HR+ Portal), and Azure Chatbot (for the virtual assistant). Experience with one or more of these technologies is essential for the role.

Solution and data architect

The solution and data architect has overall design authority on a project or programme, and is accountable for all aspects of the solution architecture. The definition provided by TOGAF is one that describes accurately this role and its responsibilities:

The solution architect has a responsibility for ensuring the completeness (fitness-for-purpose) of the architecture, in terms of adequately addressing all the pertinent concerns of its stakeholders; and the integrity of the architecture, in terms of connecting all the various views to each other, satisfactorily reconciling the conflicting concerns of different stakeholders, and showing the trade-offs made in so doing (as between security and performance, for example).

The solution architect is also accountable for all the process related aspects of architecture (the architecting), which include formal engagement with project/programme managers and the project teams, adoption-of and compliance-with the architecture repository (key design decisions, design reviews, etc.) and the delivery of all the required architecture artefacts.

This role can coincide with the project lead architect (PLA) role. The PLA is a project role, and can be fulfilled by solution architecture and enterprise architecture roles, and well as non architects (designers) for non-architecturally significant projects.

The solution architect will have the following responsibilities:

  • contribute to standards adherence
  • support project delivery
  • review solution designs
  • provide solution architecture
  • contribute to reference architecture
  • facilitate integration (SOA, API, etc.)

As required to support strategy architecture and planning activities, the solution architect will perform additional atrategy and architecture responsibilities.
