Description
A financial services organisation based in The Netherlands, is going through a major transformation of its data function, initially in response to the demands of IFRS 17, but also to deliver more sophisticated enterprise-wide analytics. It requires a technical Big Data Architect to design, deliver and embed a centralised Data Hub.
This a 9-12 month contract/interim assignment and requires a hands-on technical professional with strong content knowledge of Big Data technologies, Data Hub concepts and appreciation of data security. The successful candidate will also have strategic, enterprise architecture experience and the ability to develop and gain support for proof of concepts.
Other requirements:
- Hands on knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, Hortonworks, HDFS and comparable data tools, applications and platforms is essential.
- Data Architecture experience at a enterprise-wide scale is desired.
- Strong interpersonal and business engagement skills are required.
- Exposure to IFRS 17 and/or financial services sector will be beneficial.
