Title: UNIX/Linux Engineer

Duration: 4 months

Years of Experience: 5-10 Years

Unix/Linux Engineer.

  • Experience with creating queries and technical documentations related to system architecture.
  • Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems.
  • Performs system backups and recovery.
  • Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications. Troubleshoots system issues and resolves or escalates.
  • Creates and updates system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures.

Additional Notes:

The client is looking for someone to join the securities team. We are seeking someone with hands on experience but who also has demonstrated leadership experience. This work is not repetitive, so someone with insight on how to implement new functionality is a must. This functionality is to provide security . Must be someone who is self-directed.

The current environment is a mixed bag of UNIX Flavors. Eventually the environment will be simplified, but we need folks who are familiar with all different flavors of UNIX

Experience with Centrify and Avanti for Patch management but this is not required. Do not disqualify candidates if they do not have these tools.

Will work on Security projects to include:

  • Unix Directory Services
  • Privileged Access Management
  • TLS Upgrades
  • Patch Management
