Kirtana consulting is looking for strong Windows L2 profile in Denmark to work with one of our client.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Install, administer, and optimize Client Field Servers and related components to achieve high performance of the various business applications supported by tuning the Servers as necessary. This includes ensuring the availability of the company's Remote Field applications, configuring all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. Where applicable, the GI Technical Team Analyst will assist in overseeing the physical security, integrity, and safety of the server/infrastructure installations within the Company

All activities will conform to Client standards for hardware and software.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. Implement agreed strategies for infrastructure implementations; architect the environment required to support those strategies.

2. Participate in key process improvements as they relate to the infrastructure environment.

3. Design and review of new server systems, applications, and hardware; conduct capacity planning as needed.

4. Coordinate and collaborate with network engineering, business application, and database administration function to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of Servers to meet business demands.

5. Check ITSM ticket management system for entries on server and network resource issues; prioritize and respond to help desk tickets as appropriate.

6. Perform file system configuration and management; define and perform server backups and recovery procedures.

7. Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.

8. Monitor the field server environment, apply security patches when necessary as well as ensuring correct security patch level is maintained on all EA region Servers.

9. Provide platform administration support by overseeing and maintaining server functions, ensuring logs and metrics data are stable.

10. Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.

11. Create Shell/Powershell scripts as required.

12. Support server room security features, including HVAC control, environmental alarms, access restrictions, and so on.

13. Define and implement strategies for integrating disparate operating environments.

14. Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

15. Conduct research on server hardware, software, and protocols in support of procurement and development efforts.

16. Develop and maintain server documentation.

17. Provide guidance to All Regions operational team personnel on the systems supported.

18. Participate in Mergers & acquisitions and divestures as required.

19. Engage Corporate PMO & BRMs with new system & application requirements for Regional or Plant initiatives when approached by the business

20. Serve as cornerstone for escalating issues; provide timely response to customer escalations.

21. Support for other global regions from time to time to extend a Follow the Sun support model.

REQUIREMENTS:

University degree in the field of computer science or management information systems or a related discipline or at least five years equivalent work experience in a senior technical analytical position responsible for managing server environments.

Certifications - MCSE

Advanced knowledge of current and previous Microsoft Server operating systems

Advanced knowledge of some of: SQL, IIS, Citrix, Systems Center, Remote Desktop and other relevant server software.

Able to manage/implement load balancing, clustering, and caching procedures and processes.

Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated Storage equipment connectivity, including SAS, SCSI, Fiber, etc

Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.

General knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS, as well as Active Directory including DNS and DHCP.

General knowledge of LAN and WAN interconnectivity

Familiarity with TCP/IP and other network protocols, including hardware such as Router, Switches, layer-3 environments.

Working technical knowledge of Scripting code, VB, JS or Powershell.

Business process experience, as well as an understanding of the relationship between Processes, Standards and policies.

Proven knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies.

Strong understanding of Client organization's goals and objectives.

Good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills.

Ability to conduct research into server issues and products as required.

Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Strong customer service orientation.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Flexibility to allow for international travel when required.
