NextLink is looking for a Spotfire Consultantwith Fluent English to work in Belgium for a contract position of 12 months + with a lot of possibility to be extended in a multinational client.
Scope
- Engaging with functional and business stakeholders to capture and understand their visual analytics related reporting needs and document the associated requirements
- Recommending the best technical approach for addressing these needs through the visual analytics platform while ensuring the maintainability of the system over time
- Configuring / administrating the system in line with the agreed technical solution
- Collaborating with business stakeholders in the development of visual reports
- Ensuring (both informally and formally) that the system meets user requirements before deployment in production environment.
Skills required
- 12+ years of experience Analyst Consultant
-Bachelor / master degree in computer science
- 7 + years of broad knowledge and experience with the visual analytics solution (e.g. TIBCO Spotfire, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau), its configuration/administration and its underlying architecture
- Practical experience with the development of reports through the visual analytics solution and knowledge of the associated best practices (incl. mobile portability)
- Previous experience with the technical integration of the visual analytics solution with external data sources like the ones listed below:
o Oracle databases o SAP BW / SAP HANA o Hadoop clusters (e.g. HDFS, Hive, Impala)
- Ability to clearly justify the pros and cons of architectural recommendations · Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g. R statistical programming) is an asset
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment is an asset.
