Senior Procurement Officer/Buyer
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Lincoln
IR35: In scope
Pay Rate to Candidate: £430 per day (via umbrella)
Security Clearance: BPSS
We urgently require a Senior Procurement Officer/Buyer, who will be responsible for leading the contracting cycle for a portfolio of contracts including Acute Contracts, Community Contracts and Mental Health Contracts. The successful candidate must have previous NHS, local government or/and council experience.
Role:
* You will act as a point of technical expertise for specific contracts.
* You will also act as the link person to specific CCGs; maintaining an overview of the contact development, performance and risk management for all contracts to which the CCG are party.
* You will work closely with colleagues in information, procurement, service re-design and quality teams, together with colleagues in CCGs; providing input, influence and direction relevant to the successful completion of your role.
Essential:
* NHS experience is strongly desirable but not essential, local government and council
* Significant experience of understanding PbR and financial structures of NHS contracts
* Significant experience of leading negotiation of complex contracts and agreements with multiple stakeholders
* Significant experience of supporting clinicians to develop and deliver commissioning intentions and change programmes
* Detailed knowledge of NHS Standard Contract
