DISYS Corporation of USA seeks on behalf of our global O&G partner, a BOBI/BODS System Administrator for their European IT hub centered in Budapest North. We seek an accomplished and experienced candidate for a long-term contract deployment running into several years who is prepared to relocate to Budapest "Paris of the East", this charming and vibrant and very affordable city. Responsibilities
Understanding Technical and Customer business objectives and operating in an enterprise wide environment;
Provide consulting advice, where necessary, on implementing solutions using both SAP and company developed best practices;
Work closely with both experienced IT staff and have the ability to develop less experienced staff in BOBI/BODS;
High level Job Description
Ability to support and optimize large BOBI landscape. This includes working with Application teams on frequent troubleshooting exercises and urgent, high visibility requests.
Must be excellent communicator who can provide frequent updates to management teams, when necessary.
Can work in a challenging environment with global teams and customers.
Can participate in on-call 24/7 rotations with Basis team providing system administration support of BOBI and BODS.
Responsibilities
Ability to design multi-server BOBI/BODS solutions;
Install/upgrade BOBI/BODS;
Work with the Security team on applying security roles and on troubleshooting security issues;
Close security vulnerabilities (eg setup HTTPS and SSO-Kerberos, managing SSL certificates);
Interaction with vendor (SAP);
Setup alerts and probes (Embedded and external - eg SAP Solution Manager Technical Monitoring);
Ability to troubleshoot and to provide recommendations for improvements at Web Server level (eg Apache Tomcat 8.x);
General troubleshooting
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in BOBI/BODS 4.x administration;
Ability to not only resolve system related issues with application teams but to also perform root cause analysis to permanently resolve issues;
Proactivity on seeking work, helping customers and team members (Pull vs Push behaviour from Agile);
Experience with supporting BOBI/BODS 4.x on Windows VM Servers (troubleshoot/install/upgrade);
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting transportation across landscapes (using Life Cycle Manager, exporting/importing BIAR files, CTS+ etc);
Experience with creating connections to various source systems such as SAP BWs, HANA, Oracle, SQL Server;
Experience troubleshooting Analysis for Office and Design Studio;
Experience on setting up Managed System Configuration & Technical Monitoring for BOBI/BODS;
Experience with BOBI/BODS performance monitoring and tuning;
Experience with BO Data Services system administration
o Troubleshooting;
o BODS upgrades and tuning;
o Understanding temporary folder utilization (pCache);
o Repositories creation;
o Connecting to other sources (manipulating reginfo);
o RFC troubleshooting;
Desirable
SAP BOBI certification;
Experience on using Wily Introscope for troubleshooting;
Experience with Lumira (installation, upgrades, troubleshooting);
Experience with BOBI/BODS capacity planning;
Experience in configuring BOBI/BODS process within Automic UC4 Job Scheduler;
Installation/operation of BOBI on Azure platform or SAC;
Scripting ability (eg PowerShell, VBS) to automate routine tasks;
Tableau Server administration skills;
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodology;
