Scala Engineer/Developer - 6 months - London
A fantastic opportunity to join a technology focused vibrant company in a 6 month Scala Engineer/Developer contract working extensively on the Back End, in central London.
6 months initial with opportunities to extend.
As a Scala Engineer/Developer you will play a pivotal role in the development of the companies products and platforms.
You will need to be adaptable and have additional languages in your toolset as well as being highly technical capable. You will be a natural collaborator working in an strongly Agile way with a team who all share the same goals but who are happy to challenge and be challenged.
As a Scala Engineer/Developer your responsibilities will include:
- strong team playing abilities
- partnering with multiple business functions
- coding extensively in Scala
- using other languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, PHP where necessary
- play an important role in architecture decisions and provide input into overall direction
- be adaptable and willing to get involved across the tech stack to ensure the successful delivery of products
- working with Linux
Any further experience with the following would be a bonus:
- Java/Kotlin
- Akka
- Cats
