Planning Manager - Supply Planning Network Optimization - Oracle ASCP
Rate: $75/$85 per hour
Location: New York, US
Duration: 6 months + Possible Extension
Start: ASAP.

Responsibilities:
*Manages designated SPNO team of Site Finished Goods Planner & Component and Label Buyers and will be collaborating closely with the Site Plant Manager and Schedulers.
*Responsible for Optimizing Designated Supply Planning Network working with cross functional Business and Supply Chain stakeholders within a weekly cadence (Exceptions Messaging, RCCP, DDS, PSI, etc.) to:
(a) Create Finished Goods, Component, Label supply plans to ensure delivery of products to customers within targeted service levels
(b) Examine performance metrics and escalated "Exceptions messages" to prioritize planning issues/concerns and countermeasures,
(c) Monitor progress and measure performance results to achieve Current and Future KPI Targets (involving Schedule Adherence, Fill Rate, Inventory IQ across FG/Label/Component), and
(d) Conduct Root Cause Analysis and resolve systemic issues,
(e) Monitor execution against plan for packaging and procurement (eg if plants doesn't package something, they have to escalate. Or if supplier PO is going to be late the Label/Component buyer needs to make relevant changes in EBS)
*Uses Oracle ASCP to optimize the constrained Finished Goods Plans (Lead Time and Capacity based) and oversees:
(a) Firming plans based on Time and Capacity constraints,
(b) 'Managing Exceptions' with the Site & HQ Bulk, FG, Component, Label, and RM Planners and relevant Business
*Conducts Root Cause analysis of "Planning Issues/Risks" via quantitative analysis, gathering business insights from cross-functional business stakeholders, developing remedial countermeasures and tracking their impact.
*Leads the S&OP "Wk 2 Supply Planning" activities regarding her/his Planning Network to review with Supply Chain executive leadership:
(a) Supply, Capacity, & Inventory Plans, (b) Planning performance metrics/KPIs (ie. Schedule Adherence for Packaging, Leadtime Adherence for Labels and Components, Supply Planning Stability, Inventory, Fill Rate, Back Orders etc.),
(c) Risks (Short-term/Long-term), Impact, & Operational & Systemic Countermeasures.
*Oracle IBP Solution:
(a) Applies expertise to the development of the Oracle solution with external consultants and maintains that expertise regarding the future processes, policies, operations and system functionality within the assigned planning solution.
(b) Ensures his/her department successfully "adopts" the Oracle driven Supply Planning Solution and aligns Processes, Cadence, Analytics/Reporting, and Organization accordingly and acts as coordinator and filter for later post-production enhancement requests.
*Leads Data Maintenance to ensure all data (Item Master, Routing, Resources, Sourcing Rules & Assignment, Supply Category Set) is accurately updated and maintained (including such attributes as Lead Times, Safety Stock Targets, MOQ, Max & Fixed Order Quantity) using provided analytic tools.
*Continuous Improvement: Leads the execution of "Forward Thinking" continuous improvements (FG, Component, and Label Supply Planning, Capacity Planning/Allocation, Exceptions Management, Inventory Management, Business Intelligence, Metrics, etc.) which combines applying "Best Practices" while pragmatically meeting business requirements.
*Key Deliverables:
(a) Optimized, Insightful, and Actionable 12 Month Plans involving FG, Labels, and Components, Capacity, & Inventory which feed into the S&OP/RCCP,
(b) Clear improvement plans involving Schedule and Lead-time Adherence, Supply Planning Stability, Inventory, Fill Rate, Back Orders performance etc., and
(c) Using structured process, cadence, analytics/reporting tools and other material to deliver weekly supply planning status, issues, countermeasures, escalations (Exceptions Messaging, RCCP, PSI, DDS, etc.).
*Metrics:
(a) Schedule Adherence,
(b) Inventory IQ
(c) Fill Rate
(d) Lost Sales/Back Orders,
(e) Plan Stability

Experience:
*8-10+ Years of relevant experience in Supply Chain in an environment involving re-engineering processes, organizations, detailed design, and metrics/analytics for large consumer products organizations.
*4-5 Years in FG Supply Planning activities to yield Schedule Adherence, Supply Planning Stability, Inventory Management, Fill Rate, Back Orders improvements.
*Strong skills/experience in Business Intelligence and KPI/Analytics development with an ability to effectively lead inductive and deductive reasoning with the data to draw key business planning conclusions.
*Experience managing master data maintenance/cleansing processes, activities, and resources to ensure clean data is being used to drive S&OP.
*Relevant experience in using Oracle VCP or comparable Value Chain Planning Enterprise system functionality within a consumer goods manufacturing, distribution, and sales and marketing organization.
*Advanced experience creating and using quantitative Excel models to integrate very large data extracts from diverse systems and generate articulate analytics, conclusions and supply plans.

Education, Certification, Licenses & Registrations:
*Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration or comparable background or work experience.
*APICS Certification Desired
