Huawei Specialist - GSM/UMTS/LTE Radio Optimisation
Our customer a specialist in the Telecom sector providing E2E solutions for Operators are searching for a Radio Optimisation Engineer for a long term mission in Kuwait.
The desired candidate will have extensive Radio Optimisation Experience from a 2G, 3G and 4G perspctive with a minimum 7 years working experience. You will be responsible for delivering reports and optimization support to Customer teams in order to take full advantage of the customer solution (reduce the need for Drive Test, provide automated optimization results, supporting in benchmarking network behavior after critical MOPs on the network). The On-site contractor will be supported by the client technical teams in the clients HQ to leverage on their experience with other Operators facing similar cases or needs.
Daily duties:
* Use client tools in order to show its added value and promote client tools and services during execution of the project
* Perform proactive analysis using client RAN solution tool.
* Analyse 2G-3G-4G RAN network performance and investigate the root cause(s) of performance degradations (mainly using client SW and customer's OMC counters)
* Perform audits of the 2G and 3G networks on Radio network elements
* Perform on demand analysis on specific issues (new performance degradation, customer complaint...)
* Provide recommendations to the customer to solve the identified issues (parameter tuning with target value, new network settings, neighbouring plan)
* Perform workshops to transfer telecom knowledge and/or knowledge about client solution to customer's team
* Assist customer's team in using client solution for their daily tasks
* Participate to customer presentation in order to expose the findings and recommendations from the analysis
* Knowledge & skills:
* MSEE/BSEE Telecommunication Engineer with strong experience and knowledge on RAN
* 2G/3G/4G/VoLTE RAN optimization
* Strong knowledge on Huawei tools and Network Elements
* Good knowledge of RAN KPI monitoring and troubleshoot
* Strong knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/VoLTE RAN KPIs and their impact on the subscriber experience
* Good ability to analyze and troubleshoot on degraded KPIs
* Good ability to elaborate and provide optimization recommendations
* Support implementation of optimization measures
* Good communication skills in meetings, conferences and presentations. Be able to argue with other teams/Huawei when needed to defend his/her idea.
* Be the trusted consult to radio managers on main radio topics (5G, refarming, SON)

* Experience:
* A minimum of 7 years of experience with Radio network optimization, performance management and/or supervision
* At least 2 years of experience on 4G RAN optimization
* Experience on VoLTE RAN optimization is mandatory
