Description
Mechanical Design Engineer - Dundee, Scotland - Initial 6 month contract
Duties will include:
Evaluate different technologies and provide recommendations
Lead mechanical development activities, providing estimates, manufacturing options etc
Collaborate with Engineers from different disciplines to enable system wide integration
Lead design validation
Release work products using the approved system
Skills/Experience:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong understanding of Mechanical design
Technology expertise in the areas of:
- High speed, document feeding, transportation, sorting & stacking mechanisms
- Autonomous, fault tolerant media handling systems under the impact of climatic variations
- Simulations/FEA
- Design of experiments
CAD (ProE or Solidworks)
Good understanding of mechanical drive systems
