Project Manager
A great opportuity for an experienced and capable Project Leader for an 18-24 month contract located in Ijmuiden, NL for a leading manufacturing client of mine. Good Dutch and English is a requirement.
Job description:
As a Project Manager Technology you are responsible for preparing and executing multidisciplinary investment projects on critical installations of Client Packaging. You are involved in the orientation phase of new, yet to be developed, projects. You operate independently in both the planning phase and during the implementation phase. You work with various professional disciplines, such as electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, civil and hydraulic specialists, process technologists and research.
The projects for which you become responsible are characterized by complexity and risk of damage. This includes the mechanical repair of the after-cooling section of a continuous annealing furnace, the installation of a draw-directional installation for steel plate and the installation of a cooling tower with associated pipework.
You have the following core tasks:
- Drawing up project plans with all parties from the various professional disciplines and with conflicting interests.
- Provide bottlenecks in the development of new applications; the preparation of technical solutions, taking into account both production interest and project interest.
- Realizing investment projects, taking into account critical success factors such as budget, project scope, time, project organization, quality, safety and information.

Job requirements:
- You have at least a completed HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- You have at least 7+ years of experience as a Project Leader in Technology and are you used to providing functional leadership in a Matrix structure in a production environment and achieving results
- You operate with a pragmatic approach and you have a passion for technology. Your experience with an industrial environment is highly desirable
- Your experience with Prince2 is a plus (Certification is an advantage)
- You have strong social and communication skills and you know how to connect with the workplace and management
- You have good knowledge of the English language and preferably also the German language
- You are prepared to travel incidentally
