Role: Production Specialist
Location: Southampton
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £16p/hr
Perform daily operations of the in house assembly and test facility.
Essential responsibilities
* Read engineering drawings and build electronic assemblies following the provided work instructions.
* Use test equipment, oscilloscopes, multimetres, signal generators etc. to complete testing during and after final assembly.
* Execute fault analysis and repair of printed wiring boards and final assemblies.
* Work together with the Operations Manager, Storeman and other production team members to deliver production demand on time.
* Work within a team setting and/or under guidance.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Ability to read both electronic and mechanical engineering drawings.
* Hand soldering experience of through hole and surface mount components.
* Be familiar with various types of connectors involved in cable assembly.
* Experience using test equipment, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators etc. for testing and fault finding.
* Experience of intricate mechanical and PCB assembly into finished units.
* Experience using environmental test chambers.
* Able to work with minimal supervision within a small manufacturing unit.
