Description
Programme Delivery Director urgently required for our Central Government, London based client on a 6 month initial contract + possible extensions.The Programme Delivery Director will be responsible for the successful implementation of workstreams and ensuring that the implementation activities align with the overarching programme plan and milestones.
Outputs & Deliverables
- Coordinate sustained, and rapid progress by driving across multiple workstreams (breadth) and also being able to embrace detail and dive into specific challenges to unblock issues as required (depth)
- Responsible for understanding risks across the programme and responsible for ensuring that effective control and monitoring mechanisms are in place to adequately mitigate.
- Produce, communicate and maintain summary project plans that outline achievements, planned activity and milestones.
- Delivering robust and detailed workstream plans with defined deliverables, quality verification activities and well-defined touch-points between plans
- Monitoring, mentoring and challenging workstreams during planning and implementation to deliver to quality and time
- Reporting progress, risks and issues to governance boards
- Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are engaged and supportive of exit activities as well as being supported themselves.
Essential Experience:
- Solid project management skills (planning, monitoring, reporting, risk & issue) management) to implement changes including; organisation structuring, office locations, staffing transitions, change management, IT)
- Comfort with detail and in areas that may be unfamiliar
- Communication, diplomacy and influence in a multi-organisation, multi-discipline programme
- Managing complex deliveries within a changing landscape and varying degrees of uncertainty/ambiguity
- Public Sector or Healthcare experience is also essential.
