Description

Job Purpose:

Effective 1st of January 2019 the reporting requirements for operating leases has changed. As a result of these changes GSK introduced new process, IT system and CoE (Centre of Expertise) team in BPO to meet the new IFRS requirements effectively. IFRS16 SME is expected to identify any gaps in the current process and refine the process and support stabilisation of BAU activities.

We are looking for Record to Report (R2R) Process Experts for the areas of expertise listed below to deliver best in class R2R processes globally.

Key Responsibilities

Project delivery:

  • Form an active part of the IFRS16 project delivery team supporting the project
  • Work as part of IFRS16 project team and support transition of activities currently performed by KPMG to IFRS16 COE team in India
  • Feed into GSK R2R strategy
  • Building IFRS16 knowledge and awareness within the CoE and more generally within GSK
  • Ensuring robust BCP and Risk Management of internal controls and regulatory compliance are met through applicable policies, procedures and processes performed by BPO

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Very strong technical accounting skills - Accounting qualification or demonstrable experience
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Highly developed management and leadership skills
  • Experience of setting up a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with and influence customers remotely
  • Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences to successfully deliver services (Local Market, BPO, Functional team)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Audit Firm training
  • Previous experience of working in a Shared Service Environment outsourced to a BPO for a sizeable company mandatory
  • FMCG/Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
