The Career Opportunity

Vodafone Consulting & Innovation currently require a Voice & Network Engineer to work on a customer project for a minimum of 6 months. The role is located across multiple locations including Poland and Amsterdam, you will be required to travel to these locations on a monthly basis along with the other members of the team - flights and hotels can be expensed.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of network and voice/unified communications support and engineering experience preferably in an international enterprise environment

  • Fluency in written and verbal English

  • Must have experience with:

    • ISO/OSI layers and protocols

    • Static and dynamic routing especially with OSPF and BGP

    • Concepts of DNS, DHCP, HSRP, VLAN, VRF, Port-Channel

    • LAN and data center concepts and topologies including industry best practices

    • Networking hardware using Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS

    • VoIP protocols

    • SIP trunking

    • Cisco call manager

    • Cisco Jabber

    • ITIL

    • Project management skills with elements of budget, vendor and ISP management

    • MS Office package especially Visio

    • Documentation writing skills

Desirable Skills

  • Wireless networking

  • Infoblox, Solarwinds Orion, Service Now, NCM, Ansible or other mass-scale configuration management software

  • Security concepts such as NAT, VPN, Proxy Servers

  • Packet capture analysis

  • SIP InterconnecT design, provisioning and testing.

  • Voice network QOS analysis and troubleshooting

  • Experience designing and supporting corporate systems in an enterprise environment

  • Experience working and leading project teams

  • Experience and aptitude to guide and train operational team

  • Exceptional customer support skills
