Description

IFRS 17 compliance programs are now well under way and we need an experienced Business Process Team Leader to play an important role in a new IFRS 17 change program. You will need a background in finance transformation ideally within an Insurance environment.

Skills and experience:

3 years+ Team Leadership and Functional Consulting experience

Qualified accountant (FCA, ACCA, ACMA) with over 5 years post qualification line accountant experience

Senior business analyst specialising in accounting solution analysis

Finance transformation project experience within a major financial services company

Sub ledger and accounting rules implementation experience (essential)

Analysis of financial reporting requirements, designing extracts/reports based on sub-ledger data

Data analysis and data integration experience

Chart of accounts analysis - determining correct account segmentation based on reporting requirements (including MI requirements)

Ability to create a functional architecture

Ability to create a finance target operating model (TOM)

Ability to define product life cycle and identify the resulting accounting events from the life cycle

Logical database & data relationship design

Test strategy and planning

Ability to oversee other functional analysts, and provide mentorship and guidance as required

Supervision of the functional team (up to 2-3 team members)

Ability to work with technical resources

Advanced communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to run workshops with vendor consultants in support and clients in attendance

Ability to operate effectively within a professional consulting team

Ability to work with and liaise with client resources at all levels: ranging from line business users to finance directors

Strong mathematical background as the project will involve working with actuaries and require the ability to understand actuarial model outputs & processes.

Insurance industry experience particularly Solvency II.

Exposure to IFRS17

Advanced Microsoft Excel

Project management tools eg: JIRA, MS-Project

SQL server

Relational database knowledge
