Role: Azure Data Lake Architect
Duration: 1 Year
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Language: English and French or Dutch (one fluent the other one basic at least)
Job Role
- Take an active part to the next steps of the data lake set-up: storage structure, integration of the components
- Scan market of available tools and propose options depending on requirements and company standards
- Define the architecture of the new components like analytics model operationalization, API publication
- Design of the main data pipes to support use cases,
- Look for/propose automation tools and technical process improvements,
- Take part to PaaS governance improvement,
- Coaching/support of a few internal resources,
- Documentation of the architecture, guidelines and principles,
- Provide guidance on some technologies like Cosmos DB's (graph instantiation ),

Technical experience required
- Experience in Azure data Lake components and principles (ADLS ).
- Experience in Data Bricks
- Experience in Data Factory
- Experience in PaaS data lake set-up
- Experience in Azure data lake environment
- Knowledge of pipes principles and developments
- Experience in API creation to operationalize analytics models and integrate them in operations processes
- Knowledge of popular technologies & framework built around Azure data lakes
- Being aware of best practices, trends & evolutions of the IT industry and most particularly Data Analytics environments/systems
- Knowledge about Data Management: lineage, data quality principles
- Knowledge about/experience in DWH running in Azure environment
- Knowledge about data catalog integration with data lake
Functional experience required
- Database modelling via modelling tools such as Erwin or Visio
- Architecture, functional & technical analysis on database, ETL & BI solutions
- Understanding of Best Practices for SQL server Database, datawarehousing, ETL & BI solutions across the Enterprise
- Ability to interact with Business Owners and gather Business Requirements
- Ability to translate Business Requirements into functional & technical Requirements
