Application Developer (Python/Java or SQL) Contract 12 Months. My client a leading name in their space is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Application Developer to join them on a contract basis.
My client is looking for a software engineer with experience of development and/or support experience to work in the CPM Technology team. CPM (Counter-party Portfolio Management) is a business group that includes multiple Front Office desks centrally managing CVA (counter-party credit risk), FVA (funding risk), and KVA (cost of capital) for all trading portfolios in Global Markets. This role would suit an experienced developer who is looking to further grow their business and technical skills, and work as part of a high-profile CPM Technology team in a critical business area. The team works closely with trading, quant, and Middle Office teams in New York, London, Chicago, and India, as well as business analysts, project managers, and other technology partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of application solutions in a dynamic/agile environment. The candidate will be involved in day to day production support of the Bank's next generation Enterprise CPM systems in Python, leveraging a new strategic front-to-back cross-asset risk and trading platform rolled out across Global Markets within the firm.This new platform features a high-performance, globally synchronised object database and a flexible Scripting environment based on Python.
Successful candidates will have the ability to effectively communicate within a multi-disciplined team, across multiple locations and time zones, and to interact with demanding business users frequent release cycles and rapidly changing priorities.Successful candidates will have Seasoned in Python and/or Java and SQL. Experience developing end-to-end application flows working with leads. Desired skills will include Python experience, Counter party Credit Risk and/or CVA/FVA knowledge.Exposure to financial/product control functions within a bank.
