Description
ServiceNow Discovery CMDB Consultant/Architect - Poland/Warsaw - 600 EUR +
Excellent ServiceNow Development & Platform Architect experience and good understanding of CMDB/Discovery/Network Devices.
Candidate will be the gatekeeper for any work affecting the CMDB, Discovery and it's performance & will develop the solution as needed.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage scalable development processes and guidelines
- Establish relationship with the business and enable the ability to bypass organisation or technical Debt
- Identify areas to avoid or address technical debt, consolidate redundant initiatives or solutions
- Translate business requirements into actionable best practice tasks for the internal discovery development team
- Work with Discovery experts from Servicenow and other partner communities
- Extensive review of new version release notes and upgrade validation plans
- Identify improvements with consumers of data whose processes interact with the CMDB
- Validate discovered data
- Review CI quality with owners of data
- Using the CMDB dashboard and created rules identify devices that have not been discovered in x' number of days to assess disposal options
- If a CMDB life cycle in place identify any gaps in data quality to help achieve those goals
- Health check reviews of existing schedules and their impacts on data quality and expected device returns
- Review of previous schedules for diagnosable errors and completion.
- IP access issues (routing or IP access challenges)
- Compute system access errors (Authentication troubleshooting)
- Identify unclassified network gear, extend classifiers as required for newly discovered items
- Implement and deploy new or modified schedules to access identified IP ranges in growth or datacenter re-alignment
- Develop discovery solutions based on Servicenow best practices
Long term contract paying above market rates.
