Morson International working with a global consultancy who are looking for a Senior System Engineer to join their team. This is initially a 6 weeks contract with possibilities of extension.
Description
Definition of template Azure Infrastructure and RBAC
Development and maintenance of Azure based infrastructure and components
Migration of applications and infrastructure from on-prem to Azure
Migration of Azure based services between resource groups, subscriptions and/or tenants
Integration of Azure resources with on-prem infrastructure and applications
Implementation of Role Based Access Models
Drafting technical documentation
Implementation of user requirements
Follow established processes for configuration and release management to ensure that all project artefacts are managed, integrated and versioned according to standards
Participation in meetings with the project teams
IT support, ranging from simple desktop and peripheral support to complex server and network issues
Construct and maintain configurations for data networks
Design, test and install network software and hardware
Perform troubleshooting of network problems utilizing network analysers and/or sniffers and other troubleshooting tools
Deal with network related documentation (develop/update/review) and technical specifications
Configure and implement network monitoring and management systems
Implement and monitor network security
Plan network capacity/estimate network utilization
Analyse current network software and propose modifications and new software according to best practice standards and procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of relevant education (bachelor or equivalent) after secondary school
Minimum of 7 years of IT professional experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure Resource Management and Implementation of Azure based infrastructure
3 years of IT/System Administration
2 years of Microsoft administration experience on Windows operating systems Scripting and/or Microsoft .NET development experience
Additional needed qualification, knowledge and skills
Experience in Azure based support
Certification or equivalent experience in Azure Infrastructure and Resource Management
Good understanding of PowerShell and Azure CloudShell
