Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to be responsible for interfacing with other Departments.
Responsibilities:
Assists project manager in controlling and monitoring the project specifically as it relates to reporting status and tracking issues, risks, and scope changes. Works with users and or vendors to perform the functional and technical analysis required to define and validate project requirements. Develops new standards and procedures as required for the new or enhanced system and ensures compliance to existing standards and procedures. Conducts quality assessments, operational procedures, and ensures that change management procedures are met Coordinates with vendors, technical staff and users to insure that functionality of automated system adheres to laws, regulations, and best practice standards Works with user to develop and administer functional training Works with user to develop and document business processes associated with the new or upgraded system Responsible for all components of testing including test plans, test cases, and defect tracking and reporting Conducts and or participates in Joint Application Design sessions Responsible for requirements tracking including requirements identification/documentation, creation of use cases, test scenarios, and requirements traceability documents. Prepares systems and functional documentation Prepares appropriate models, diagrams and layouts as required including context diagrams and use cases Conducts or participates in the review of vendor deliverables to ensure compliance with pre-defined quality standards and content. Maintains the project repository and collaboration site Core Competencies:
The successful candidate must have 3 years (in the last 5 years) hands on experience in the following:
Functioned as a business analyst on medium to large scale technology projects Developing business requirements and related business rules based on needs Utilized MS Office for project tracking, communication, and documentation Creation, modification, implementation and tracking of use cases Selection and application of test toolsIdentifying requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modelling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition analysis. Soliciting requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or proceduresExcellent verbal and written communication skills to support both formal and informal communications. A plus is Project Management training or experience
