Kafka Specialist ( Kafka, Impala, Hadoop )
Contract: 6-month initial
Rate: £400-£450 per day + expenses
Location: Luxembourg
My client, a boutique Big Data consultancy is looking for a Kafka Specialist ( Kafka, Impala, Hadoop ) to join immediately on an initial 6-month contract. This will be based on-site in Luxembourg and offers day rates between £400-£450 per day plus expenses.
The Kafka Specialist ( Kafka, Impala, Hadoop ) must be well versed with using Kafka streams, as well as both with writing and documenting Kafka connectors.
The Essential Skills required for the Kafka Specialist ( Kafka, Impala, Hadoop ) includes:
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience implementing Kafka workflows.
- Knows their way around Kafka, preferably open-sourced.
- Be well versed with writing and documenting Kafka connectors.
- Kafka configuration for offset and other parameters.
- Confident in conducting simple Data Engineering tasks with the likes of Impala and Hadoop.
- Installing from scratch and troubleshooting.
- Confident in communicating with senior stakeholders and other members of the team.
Desirable skills required for the Kafka Specialist ( Kafka, Impala, Hadoop ) includes:
- Experience building Spark micro services.
- Experienced with SQL query.
- Experienced with both Hadoop and Impala.
