Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Corporate Communications Team Leader for an initial 2 month contract, with a possible month extension. Based in Perth on a rate of £175 -£200 a day (inside of IR35).The Role
Managing media, social media, internal communications and marketing, this Team Leader role is a great opportunity to make a difference. Managing a team of four, you will deliver an effective communications service, promoting the organisation and achieving measurable campaign outcomes. Providing communications support and guidance to services, maintaining good relations with media, internal and external partners, and supplying out of hours cover when required, this is a varied role.
Essential:
* Qualification in PR, marketing, communications or journalism.
* Management experience.
* Membership of a relevant professional body preferred.
Desirable:
We are looking for a proactive and innovative team player who can hit the ground running in this fast-paced role.
Experience of managing a small team is preferable, but more important is a can-do attitude and an aptitude for new media, learning, and data-driven communications.
Familiarity with using research and evaluation to improve communications, working with a range of people including politicians, and balancing operational and strategic work would be useful.
Some knowledge of local government or a related public service is necessary, and experience of events promotion would be an advantage.
