NETWORK AND SECURITY SYSTEM ENGINEER - MECHELEN (B) - CONTRACT
My client, a financial service provider, is looking to recruit an experienced Network & Security System Analyst on a contract basis in Mechelen - Belgium.
We are looking for driven individuals. who are passionate about networking and security, to join a fantastic team to provide our diverse IT departments.
Role purpose
You will be responsible for the management of assigned systems, products and technical domains with a 24/7 technical emergency support and overall technical quality.
Responsibility
- Supervises all changes requested by application development teams
- Evaluates corporate-wide system to improve system performance and functionality
- Drafts understandable reports on improvement opportunities for the respective system
- Performs maintenance tasks on existing test and production environments
- Designs, tests, and implements back up, recovery and restart procedures
- Monitors error logs, etc, to ensure proper capacity and availability
- Responsible for changes, incident handling and problem solving
- Designs configurations in cooperation addressing necessary performance and recoverability issues
- Executes software installations, creations/configurations, and loads.
Essential Skills
- Experience of data networks, security, ADCs, Firewalls, SWGs
- Knowledge of IBM ISAM/Trustbuilder
- Experience of web protocols, web security - AAA, MFA/federation - OAuth, SAML
- Knowledge of Scripting - Perl, Python, REST
- Analytical skills
