ROLE SUMMARY
The User Experience (UX) team are highly-skilled, self-motivated and creative individuals with a focus on delivering innovative and strategic solutions to enable our customer experience. They regularly engage with high-profile client-facing roles and internal stakeholders across the entire business in and will be involved in the key stages of the sales process the team enjoys high-visibility within the customer all the way to C-level.
You will be involved both in the conception and development of User Experience concepts. You will be producing user flows, wireframes, prototypes and Front End interfaces that will appeal to customers and ensure customers can interact positively with our products. You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites.
Strong research, design and problems solving skills are essential. Being able to adapt your approach for different stakeholders, think on your feet and demonstrate a can-do mentality will be key to your success in the role. You will be resourceful, driven, and positive, with a creative approach to problem-solving and an ability to work at pace.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE INDICATORS FOR THIS ROLE
- Experience in both mobile application design and enterprise software design.
- A demonstrable portfolio, which shows clearly the systematic, user-centered design thought process necessary to bring a product or application to life.
- Strong user advocacy - willingness to defend their interests at each step of project development.
- Interest in learning about UX research methodologies
- In-depth understanding and passionate interest in the tools/libraries/applications that can be used to deliver on your designs.
- A curiosity and awareness of the tools/libraries/applications that can be used to deliver on your designs. Preferred candidates will have experience with modern design tools, such as Figma, Framer, Sketch or Principle; and a solid understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React or Polymer.
- Working knowledge of integrating web applications with HTTP REST APIs.
- Collaborate effectively in a team and be open to exploring all design options.
- Experience working with product management and engineering teams to bring your designs to a reality.
- Experience in managing and coaching team members.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritise based on the needs of the business.
