Description

Currently seeking an experienced Network Administrator/Specialist. This Jack of All Trade role will assist on various IT projects and provide technical recommendations for Servers and data networks, conduct research and evaluate network technology with an emphasis on network security. Will work closely with the IT team of programmers, architects and IT admins/managers to help design and implement systems.

Essential Responsibilities

Will work on various IT projects for 2019 (reboot/patch management, Centrify PAM implementation, updating Crown Jewel documentation for security team to name a few) .

Will be available as a technical resource with desktop-related issues which aren't easily resolved . Interface with suppliers, customers and insurers who require information on security processes . Interface with peers in IT to ensure that all systems developed and deployed have been vetted and are secure . Help develop technical solutions both independently and in a team environment interacting with various departments and/or end users having varying skill sets .

System Administration

Administration duties once Centrify is implemented .

Maintain and update Crown Jewel documentation.

Manage/support server patch and reboot management program .

Various duties as assigned by Network Architect .

Education and Experience

Strong Windows experience. Five or more years managing Microsoft Windows servers.

Centrify administration and implementation experience or equivalent PAM experience .

Sound understanding networking principles including switch, routing, firewalls, wired, wireless, security and commonly used enterprise applications .

Experience with various anti-virus engines, security appliances and mapping software .

Thorough knowledge of commonly used network protocols .

Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP networks .

MCSA or MCSE certifications are strongly preferred .

Linux experience is a plus.
