Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Sr. Oracle DBA that also has EBS skills on the Linux/Unix platform. Candidate will design, create, develop, modify, implement, and administer databases ensuring the integrity and accessibility for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to and lead design efforts, regularly gathering requirements and information from users for specific projects and obtain feedback.
Develop specifications for several large, inter-related projects and implement them and provide oversight of their implementation.
Analyze and define data requirements and specifications.
Be responsible for quality control by auditing database integrity to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
Interact with management to develop database strategies to support the Lab s mission.
Interact directly with users to resolve data conflicts or problems.
Select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Provide direction for entire project or project team.
Provide coordination between multiple projects or teams.
Analyze and define data requirements and specifications.
Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.
Develop and administer data standards, policies, and procedures.
Provide technical leadership and expertise within the team and to outside project teams when requested.
Communicate and describe work details and relevant technical matters, in written and oral form.
Identify and resolve complex problems.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 5+ years of experience successfully designing, installing, patching and administering Oracle databases.
Proficient in UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting.
Demonstrated ability to learn and become effective with new technologies and applications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills plus the ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization.
Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and ability to solve problems quickly.
Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions.
Must have excellent decision-making skills at all times.
Ability to function as an effective team member.
Application DBA experience with E-business Suite (EBS) and/or PeopleSoft a big plus.
Knowledge of other database platforms (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, My/SQL, MariaDB) a big plus.
