Security Engineer - Linux/Networking - Financial Services.
A niche consultancy have an on-going engagement with a financial markets client have and have a fantastic opportunity for a Security Engineer to play a key role enhancing the security of the operating environment and infrastructure estate.
As a Security Engineer you will have a strong background in Linux/Unix system administration, Middleware and networking, being responsible for using your technological skills in these areas to harden and increase security of the technology environment at the firm. This will involve remediating issues within existing security systems and processes across the security operations function.
You should apply for this role if you are/have:
- 4+ years systems engineering/administration experience in Unix/Linux and networking
- Experience in technical administration, design, tuning and monitoring of operating systems and networks
- Shell Scripting experience is required and ideally Python
- Incident management experience is ideal
- Understanding of security and cyber security areas
- Degree educated or higher from a leading academic institution
This is a £/day role based London initially for six months.
