Description
The Website Governance Consultant for the European Commission will be responsible for the handling process of the web requests. More specifically, the person will be in charge of doing a thorough analysis and evaluation of all new web requests for online communication needs. The goal is to ensure these requests are compliant with the main web rules and guidelines established for the EC web presence, as well as data protection and accessibility standards. These requests can include, creation of new websites, revamps of existing ones, new URLs, new technical functionalities etc.
In particular, one or more of the following tasks will be performed by the Website Governance Consultant:
- Provide advice and assistance in any technical area associated with the provision, delivery, maintenance, deployment, hosting, monitoring and evaluation of websites
- Perform risk analysis
- Provide technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with information architecture, accessibility and usability
The following specific skills are requested:
- Sound technical knowledge of Website Governance and Internet related issues (web standards, page design, web content management tools, web measurements, etc.)
- Experience in requirements capture, analysis techniques, governance and change management will be considered an asset
- Good organizational skills, sense of prioritization
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong capacity in preparing and writing studies
- Good capacity to give presentations
- Focus on the user/customer
- Excellent command of English
