Description

On behalf of our client, an international finance institute located in Prague, we are looking for an external resource with skills and abilities as stated below.

Openshift DevOps Engineer (f/m/x) in Risk financial area Prague P640

The company is one of the leading global market infrastructure providers. The provides trading, clearing, settlement, market data distribution and other services for a broad range of asset classes (securities, derivatives, FX ). In Risk (a semi-independent Product of the company) we focus on making Eurex Clearing the industry leader in Risk Services/CCP Risk Management and to support the growth into new products and markets. We are looking for engineering talent for our team in Prague to solve challenging problems well. We foster a culture of high standards, freedom and responsibility. We are launching new services and re-designing workloads for the cloud. Operating completely along containerized micro-services run by small and independent teams with end-to-end responsibility.

Task and responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain automated, highly available infrastructure and tooling - our key projects rely on Openshift, Docker, and CircleCI
  • Manage your own project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
  • Stay up to date on technology and help improve processes and culture

Mandatory skills and experience

  • Interest and ability to learn, collaborative working style
  • Proficiency in Linux
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, )
  • Experience with container orchestration Kubernetes, Openshift
  • Ability to script (Bash, Python, ) in Linux environments
  • A degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • An appreciation of the challenges of building, running and servicing a minimum downtime production system
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and in written English

Optional skills

  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Experience with a modern cloud native stack - ideally CNCF projects
  • Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Circle CI, TravisCI, Spinnaker, )
  • An interest or background in financial markets and risk management

Start date of assignment: as soon as possible

  • Initial contract duration 3 months (optional: extension is anticipated but cannot be guaranteed)
